Project Details

The goal of the project was to develop a website and an app to enable the delivery of spare parts to various workshops. The client also wanted to set up dark stores to achieve quick commerce capability. The major challenge was to deliver the solution within a timeframe of less than 28 days.

Problem

  • Traditionally, workshops and repair shops had no provision to order spare parts online.
  • There was no digital platform offering spare parts delivery within 30 minutes.
  • Relying on a single source for spare parts created a monopoly for workshops and small vehicle repair businesses.
  • The client wanted to set up multiple dark stores in different locations within the city to support delivery within 30 minutes.
  • The client needed a digital KYC process to authenticate workshops before allowing them to purchase spare parts from the website.

  • BigOhTech designed a website and an app using Shopify, enabling workshop owners to easily buy spare parts.
  • The website and a PWA app were developed within 28 days of project initiation.
  • Over 800 SKUs from 28 OEMs and 40 different motorbike types were onboarded.
  • Six dark stores were set up within the city, enabling delivery within 30-40 minutes.
  • Due to the unavailability of a digital KYC partner with Shopify, custom code was designed to enable login after KYC.
  • The website and app included all e-commerce functionalities such as live tracking, order management, and refund management.
  • Analytics were enabled on the website to allow the marketing team to track user behavior and top searches, and to run targeted marketing campaigns.
